Casavecchia grapes are grown on clay-limestone soils with sandstone. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot on pyroclastic soils of volcanic origin.
Whole-berry fermentation and maceration in stainless steel vats for 9 days at controlled temperature.
6 months decanting in stainless steel tanks. Further 2 months rest in bottle.
Appearance: Bright purplish red with slight turbidity.
Nose: Initially a little closed, then opens up to wild strawberries and small wild red fruits. Intense buttery sensations due to spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
Palate: Frank, juicy, and elegant. Thirst-quenching and pleasant even between meals.
Texture: Fresh with pleasantly integrated biting sensations.
