The uniqueness of a land yields unique and original wines.
Laboris Catrame was founded in Castel Campagnano, a village situated on a small plateau a few kilometers from the Royal Palace of Caserta. A small strip of land overlooking the Matese Massif and Mount Taburno, mountains that separate Upper Campania from Molise and Sannio Beneventano.
The Roccamonfina volcano to the northwest and Vesuvius to the southeast place us in the middle of a vast natural amphitheater.

the two rivers
Our vines are nourished by the great biodiversity of a territory that hosts the most important rivers in Campania, the Volturno, and the Calore Irpino which, at the foot of our plateau, gives way to the other to converge towards the sea.
A rare combination of elements expressed by a multitude of indigenous grape varieties with unique characteristics.
Soils of volcanic and alluvial origin result in a rhythmic alternation of tuffaceous and sandy banks, clastic rocks, sandstone, and clay.
NATIVE GRAPE VARIETIES
Casavecchia
Among our black grape varieties, the Casavecchia, an indigenous variety from Upper Campania, stands out.
A grape variety with unique characteristics and mysterious origins.
Thanks to Pliny the Elder, its origins are traced back to ancient Rome. It was called Trebulanum. It was lost over the centuries and rediscovered a few decades ago near an old ruin, which inspired its name.
Features
Its bunches are light and extremely delicate.
It has a very low yield, which is why it is suitable for very high-quality productions.
NATIVE GRAPE VARIETIES
Pallagrello Bianco
Among the great white grape varieties of Campania, we chose Pallagrello Bianco. Another of Alta Campania's indigenous grape varieties.
Its history is one of elegance and exclusivity.
King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon made it his preferred variety. He offered wines made from this variety to his most important guests and forbade anyone from setting foot in the fields where it was cultivated.
Features
It is a vivid and bold variety named for its small spherical berries, which expresses its best on our clay-limestone soils.
